Namibia 2026: Princess of Africa (In Style)

About this expedition

Namibia is one of those places that's hard to describe without photos - and yet even photos can't quite capture it. Because what you find yourself returning to, again and again, isn't the 'attractions'. It's the moments.

The early desert morning, still cool, as the sun climbs slowly over the dunes. The silence at Deadvlei, where everything looks like a film set - except you're actually standing there. The drive toward the ocean, where sand blends with salt and the landscape scrolling past your window for hours on end is unlike anything you've ever seen in Europe. The evening at camp, when after a full day on the road you sit down with something cold in your hand, shoes full of sand, hair thick with dust, and above your head the show begins - one you can't buy in any hotel. The Namibian sky.

We drive through the Namib Desert, the Sesriem and Deadvlei area, the coastline of Walvis Bay and Sandwich Harbour, Spitzkoppe, Damaraland, Kaokoland, Epupa Falls, and Etosha. There will be 4x4 vehicles, gravel roads, red sand, campfires, wild open spaces, desert elephants, a fur seal colony, a visit to a Himba village, and safari at waterholes.

Accommodation is arranged to give this journey a real rhythm. Sometimes we sleep at camp - close to the earth, close to the fire, close to the stars. Sometimes in a lodge or a comfortable hotel - and after several days on the road, that is pure pleasure. A shower, a proper bed, a good dinner, a pool, a terrace, a moment without unpacking gear. Time to shake the dust off, reset, and be ready to head out again the next day.

And that's exactly why Namibia stays with you.

For the contrasts. Because in the morning you can be driving through emptiness with no end to the road in sight, and by evening be sitting down to dinner at a beautiful lodge. Because one day you wake up in a tent, and a few days later you're drinking coffee with a view over the African landscape. Because some days are comfortable and some are rawer. Both are necessary - together they make this a real journey, not just a checklist of stops.

This trip is for people who want to feel Namibia, not just see it.

No rush of a tour bus. No watching the world from behind air-conditioned glass. With time for the road, for stops, for photos, for staring into the distance, for animals at the waterhole, and for evenings that begin with dust on your clothes and end under a sky full of stars.

When you come home, you'll probably remember the big things - the dunes, the ocean, Etosha, Spitzkoppe, the Epupa Falls. But more often it will be the small ones that come back: the smell of a campfire, the sound of gravel under the tyres, the first coffee at dawn, the silence of the desert, and that moment when you're lying under the Namibian sky thinking - yes, this is exactly how it was meant to be.

Day by day itinerary

Day 1

Windhoek

We arrive on a morning flight to Namibia. We collect the vehicles, stock up on supplies, and get ready for the road. Our first night is spent comfortably at Namib Greens Villas - a gentle start to ease into the rhythm of the journey.

Day 2

Sesriem, Deadvlei

We head toward Sesriem and one of Namibia's most iconic locations - Deadvlei. Red dunes, a white clay pan, and black skeletal tree stumps create a landscape that is utterly otherworldly. Overnight at camp.

Day 3

Walvis Bay

We drive to Walvis Bay. After days of desert scenery, we reach the Atlantic coast, and in the evening we dine at The Anchor. Overnight at a hotel or lodge, likely near Lagoon Chalet - time for a proper first reset.

Day 4

Sandwich Harbour

A day packed with coastal adventures: a morning catamaran cruise, followed by a 4x4 drive to Sandwich Harbour, where the towering Namib dunes meet the Atlantic Ocean. Overnight again at a hotel or lodge.

Day 5

Spitzkoppe

We head to Spitzkoppe, a dramatic granite massif rising from the desert landscape. One of the most scenic spots for a night under the stars. Overnight at camp.

Day 6

Messum Crater

We visit Cape Cross, famous for its enormous fur seal colony. We then press on into Namibia's more rugged interior. Overnight planned at Messum Crater Campsite or Ugab Rhino Campsite.

Day 7

Twyfelfontein

We drive to Twyfelfontein, renowned for its prehistoric rock engravings and the sweeping desert landscapes of Damaraland. We spend the night at Twyfelfontein Lodge - comfortable, atmospheric, and a welcome touch of luxury after the expedition days.

Day 8

Damaraland

We search for desert elephants along the Ugab River. This is one of the most extraordinary moments of the expedition - an encounter with wild animals in raw, untamed surroundings. Overnight at Ongongo Waterfall Campsite.

Day 9

Purros

We continue north toward Purros. This is wilder, more remote Namibia - fewer people, more space, and a true expedition atmosphere. Overnight at a camp or in the wild.

Day 10

Opuwo

We drive to Opuwo, the gateway town to Kaokoland. We stay at Opuwo Country Lodge - another opportunity to rest, shower, eat well, and shake off the dust of the northern wilderness.

Day 11

Epupa Falls

We reach Epupa Falls, a stunning waterfall on the Kunene River, right on the border with Angola. One of the most atmospheric locations in northern Namibia. Overnight at camp.

Day 12

Himba Village

We visit a Himba village and learn about the culture of one of Namibia's most distinctive peoples. We then set off for Etosha National Park. Overnight at Olifantsrus Camp.

Day 13

Etosha NP

A full day in Etosha, seeking out elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, rhinos, and more at the waterholes. Overnight at Halali Camp or outside the park near Anderson Gate.

Day 14

Mt Etjo

We make our way toward Mt Etjo or another lodge approximately two hours from Windhoek. A calm and comfortable close to the expedition - a proper bed, a good dinner, and one last evening in Namibia.

Day 15

Return Flight

We return to Windhoek, hand back the vehicles, and prepare for our flight home to Poland at 20:00.
